Whewww...

So, midterms are OVER! Thank goodness. Now comes the waiting game until grades are posted.

On a much better note though...look what came in the mail today!!!

So, spring break is officially a go! I can not wait.

Today is Day 3 of the 30 Day Blog Challenge: A picture of your favorite show. I have quite a few, and unfortunately for me I don't have time to watch all the shows I want to :( Seriously, if I could, I'd have a schedule of everything I want to watch weekly and probably plan my day around it! I think I really need to invest in a DVR. Although then I'd get nothing done -- I had Netflix free for a month and I think I neglected almost everything in my life but the TV! So here's just a few of my favorites that I catch when I can:

Real Housewives: the original Orange County is probably still my favorite, and for those of you not from the South -- please don't judge us by the women on Atlanta.

Criminal Minds: I somehow just found this show in the past few weeks, and I love it.

Greek: A guilty pleasure, I can't help it.

Pretty Little Liars: LOVE this show but I'm almost always working when it comes on this season.

PS: For those of you not blog-challenged like I am...can anyone help me figure out how to make my header a little more attractive? I've tried--and failed!

Day 2

Day 2: The person I've been closest to the longest.

Meet Bethany--we first met in sixth grade, and we're still best friends 12 long years later. Sadly, I don't have any really old [and embarrassing] pictures of us from way back in the day to share with.

Me, Lacey and Bethany Sophomore year of college.

Bethany visiting on my 21st birthday...not too many good memories of that day, unfortunately. [This was the blackout game against Alabama in 2008--The year we started out #1 in the nation. We lost that ranking that night :/]

Bethany visiting [and helping host!] my surprise 22nd birthday party!

Beth's most recent trip to Athens.

30 Day Blog Challenge

I've seen several people doing this blog challenge, and I need an excuse to write everyday [as well as an idea of what to write about!] So, I decided to join in the fun!

Day 1: A picture of yourself with ten facts.

1. I graduate in two months and I am scared to death...I have no clue what's coming next, and I do not like being this unprepared!

2. I just started drinking coffee this year -- I only tried it because I had the longest day of class ever, and I needed something to keep me awake!

3. I am, without a doubt, the pickiest person ever. I'm so picky that it even gets on my own nerves, but I don't know how to make it better.

4. I'm not scared of heights, but things like ferris wheels and sky buckets FREAK ME OUT. The thought of hanging up hundreds of feet in the air by just a little wire...not cool.

5. My dream job -- to be a sideline broadcaster for ESPN [aka I want to be Erin Andrews.]

6. I used to play basketball -- in middle and high school. Oh yes.

7. I've only left the US once, to go to Jamaica for a mission trip in high school. But next week, I leave for my last spring break ever...to MEXICOOOO! :]

8. My first alcoholic beverage of choice is whiskey [Crown in particular]. Don't judge.

9. I love football. Probably as much as most dudes. Particularly college football. GO DAWGS!

10. I HATE napping but LOVE sleeping. Strange. But I always feel blaaah after naps, so I never take them.

On a more serious note--HOLY CRAP I'M OVERWHELMED. School is taking over my life--I seriously have no time to breathe. And to make matters worse, my work has scheduled me almost full time this week and next. Great timing, work...it's MIDTERMS WEEK! Ugh.

Buttt--in 12 short days, I'll be laying righhhhht here:

Oh spring break, puhhhh-lease hurry!

Single's Awareness Day.

It's Valentine's Day...oh joy. Not exactly my favorite holiday.

Reason number one: I'm single this year...again.

Reason number two: My last relationship--of 4 1/2 years--ended on February 14th. So, not a lot of fond memories of this day.

Not to mention, it seems like everybody I know is getting married or engaged, which just sort of rubs it in that I'm still all alone. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for them! But it still makes me a little sad.

Until I think about ACTUALLY having a boyfriend. Someone else I have to worry about, someone else who wants to take up my time and whose feelings I have to think about with every little thing I do. I mean, I don't really have time to think about anything else right now besides the responsibilities I already have. And I'm the worst procrastinator I know, and a guy would just give me yet another excuse to fine-tune my procrastinating skills. Not a good idea..I need to be focused. And right now, my main focus = graduation and finding a job. Not a guy.

So, on this Valentine's Day, I am very aware and happy to be single!

Goals and dreams.

I'm horrible at updating my blog. I've had it forever and have less than 10 posts. Oops.

So, my new goal...use it regularly during these last few months of college. I have less than 100 days til graduation and oh. my. lord. I couldn't be any more terrified and excited and nervous and a whole bunch of other emotions all rolled into a messy bundle.

Why am I such a mess? Because I have NO CLUE what I'm doing after graduation. I'm a PR major--not exactly a definite, laid-out career path there. I could do a million things with that major. I know what I want to do. And I know that it's going to be super hard and take a lot of work. But who knows if it will ever happen?

They say just take what you can get when you graduate right now. If someone offers you a job, and it pays enough to pay the bills, don't be picky. Do what's available until something better or more in line with your dreams comes along. Don't expect to get that dream job right after college. It doesn't happen and you have to pay your dues.

But then yesterday, I went to a seminar hosted by ESPN about applying for internships and jobs. He said...apply for only the jobs you want. Don't say you'll take anything you can. Don't seem desperate, because you're not.

So, who's right?? I wish I knew.

Middle of the road.

It's midterms week, and school has taken over my life. Literally. All I do is go to school, go to work, do school work, and sleep. Help.

I knew senior year [number two] was going to be tough. But I had no idea. My PR classes require a TON of work. And Spanish...well, that just doesn't come easy to me at all. And my one last class for my minor, Speech Comm, is definitely not a 'gimme.' The tests are insanely hard.

But, when I think about how soon it's all going to be over, I get a little scared - no, make that A LOT scared - and I'm not sure I'm ready to give up the school work for the real world. I can only imagine the next step in life is going to be a little harder.

Speaking of harder, could this football season get any harder to bear?? I'm dying here. I thought my last football season as a student would be great, filled with lots of amazing memories. But no. So far, I don't want to remember a single thing. We're 1-4. 1-4!! Awful. And things aren't looking any brighter. Not to mention, tailgating this year has been pretty much wiped out by the new rules and regulations imposed by the University, as well as nothing but noon start times for games. I love tailgating, but having to be up at 7am to get in a few good hours before sitting in the blazing hot Georgia sun for three hours, only to watch our team lose? No thanks. But, as they say...there's always next year!

Now, I think it's time to get back to the studying...

Beginning of the end.

Tomorrow is the first day of my last year of college. That's a scary -- and somewhat exciting -- thought. In nine short months, I will no longer be a student, a title I've carried for the past 17 years of my life. I will be completely 'grown-up,' in the real world, and all on my own. Like I said, that's a scary thought!

Some of my goals for the year:
--Make the Dean's List for my last two semesters and raise my GPA.
--Get an internship that will help me secure a job when I graduate.
--Stay involved with a campus organization [or two].
--Start and keep up with a regular workout routine.
--Cheer the Dawgs to victory every Saturday that they're playing between the hedges.
--Do my part to help us keep the #1 party school ranking [Mom, if you're reading this, I'm totally just kidding on this one].

Under the weather.

Moving day is t-minus 8 days and counting. And I haven't packed a single thing. Needless to say, I am freaking out. And to make matters worse, I'm sick. I spent all day yesterday [seriously...all but three hours of the day!] in the bed. I was miserable. Who gets a virus [cold, flu, etc...the doc didn't know which one] and bronchitis in the middle of July?? ME, that's who.

So, I have a lot to do over the next few days once I get over this crap. But...I'm SOOO excited to be moving. Me and two of my best friends are moving into a three-bedroom townhouse in an adorable little community on the east side of Athens. We can't wait to decorate...we have the cutest ideas for the place! I wish we could move NOW and get it all done! [Uhhh, minus the fact I have done nothing to prepare for the move...]

So the next two weeks might be a little hectic and allow almost no time for blogging...but I promise to put pics of the place up once we get it all beautified! :]

On the bright side...my last summer class will be done on Thursday and I will be school-free until the third week of August!!
