WILW

It's Wednesday!! ...& I'm joining up with Jamie for WILW!

So, what am I loving today?

First of all...I'm loving that it's almost the weekend, & I'm off this Saturday! Woohoo!

I'm loving this video I've seen going around Facebook for weeks now. I finally took the time to stop and watch it and WOW.

And as evidenced by how much time I waste on the site...I am always loving Pinterest!!

And, one last question for you guys! I am working on a sort of 'bucket list' list for myself. -- 30 things I want to see/do/accomplish by the time I'm 30 (AKA less than 6 years!!!) So...what are some things on your bucket list that I should consider adding to mine??

Job Hunting is...well, a JOB!

Hello my long lost friends.

So honestly...I have multiple motivations behind getting back on this blog I've neglected for oh so long. It allows me to procrastinate writing this cover letter for a job application that I should be doing. I read another blog post today telling me all the reasons why I should blog. And...well, I'm bored. So, here goes. We'll see if I can keep up with this for a little bit longer this time!

This job search thing...TERRIBLE. I know everyone said it was going to be hard and tried to prepare us for it before graduation but oh my gosh. When reality actually hits you it's a whole different ball game. Looking for a job and applying for dozens and sending resumes and writing cover letters and composing emails...well, that's a job all by itself! But I have to keep doing it, because I know something will eventually work out, and I have to have a job. Like, ASAP.

So, prayers are much appreciated as I continue my job search!

I have lots more to say but I'm going to hold off so I'll have something to say tomorrow! Not to mention, my Dawgs are playing Kentucky on ESPN right now, so I've got to go cheer them on!

GO DAWGS!!

Can we be like the wolfpack guys?

So I survived Vegas...barely!

The trip was absolutely amazing, and I definitely want to go back! I don't even know where to start to tell you about all the crazy fun we had. There is SO much to do and see, and I feel like we barely scratched the surface. I know my list of 'things to do while in Vegas' got 100xs longer after going!

The hotel we stayed at -- New York New York -- was awesome! No, it's not crazy-famous like Caesars Palace or the Bellagio, but the atmosphere in there was great! There was always something going on, and it wasn't nearly as formal or stuffy as the other hotels. It was like a giant party, all the time. Not to mention it has a rollercoaster on top of it...yes, I said a freakin' rollercoaster! And it was AWESOME!! We rode it twice...once in the daylight, and once right at sunset, when all the neon's up and down the strip had come on, and it was the coolest thing I've ever experienced. You could see all of Vegas! So next time you're there...spend the $14 and DO IT!

This 4-day trip was just the beginning of my week-long birthday celebration!

I'll fill you in on the rest of the festivities soon! :)

And before I go...

GO FALCONS!

Vegas fever...

I'm going to Vegas. THIS weekend. AHHH.

Needless to say, I am so excited!! But I've never been, so I'm a little nervous, too! So, I need advice! What are the can't miss things I have to see and do?? And what should I not waste my time on? I know there's no way I will be able to do everything I want to do on this first trip, but I definitely want it to be unforgettable anyways!

On a side note though--I think I'm starting to get sick. NOT ok, considering the trip this weekend! Say a prayer it goes away...quickly!

And a random question...has anyone ever used Rent the Runway? I got a birthday gift coupon from them since my birthday is next week, and I think it would be the perfect occasion to try them out!

The more things change...

Sometimes I forget I have this thing, and then one day something will make me think about it, and I'll realize how much I miss it. And so I come back.

I feel like my life is all over the place right now! Where to start?!

First, let's just get it out of the way -- my Georgia sports teams are breaking my heart. The Braves have lost way too many in a row. My Dawgs are 0-2. Ouch. And the Falcons got trampled in their first game. I hope this week is better!

I've had an internship all summer at the Hart County Chamber of Commerce that has been a great learning experience. I've gotten to experience all sides of the tourism and event-planning aspects of the Chamber, as well as how it works with the local government to make things happen. I've gotten the opportunity to extend my internship, because my boss took a position elsewhere, and I'm so thankful for that!

Hmm, what else to update you on? I feel like there's so much that's happened that I can't possibly fit it all into one blog post [and I know it's not all interesting to anyone other than me, too!] But let's see...one negative thing this summer -- I've sort of ruined a good friendship because we tried to make our relationship more than friends, and it didn't really work out like we expected it to. And now I'm pretty much at a loss for how to repair things. It's just...weird. And I want nothing more than for it to go back to normal. Oh, boys... :/

Anyways, enough of the sad sob stories and on to better things...my birthday is this month!! I'm going to VEGAS in less than two weeks to celebrate with two great friends, and then the weekend after pretty much everyone I know is going to the Luke Bryan Farm Tour concert. I can't wait, to say the least! Have any of you ever been to Vegas?? I've never been and I have no idea what all we should do, but I am SO excited!

And last, I'll leave you with a few pictures from over the summer...I can't believe it's already over!

Awesome.

So, this week couldn't get much better!!

Why??

1. I GRADUATED!! Yes, I am officially an alumnae of the University of Georgia [and yes, I need a big-girl job now!]

2. I have an internship for the summer -- it was supposed to be unpaid. They offered course credit, but of course I don't need that since I graduated and all! I met with them on Monday, then Tuesday I got an email that said they all agreed they would pay me a $1000 monthly stipend for the three months I'll be working there! Talk about complete surprise and excitement!!

3. I just checked online to see how my big [or small :/] my paycheck was going to be Friday, when lo and behold, I got a $.37 raise! No one told me, I had no idea it was time for one, but YAY! [I know 37 cents doesn't seem like a lot, but since it put me right at the next dollar mark, it feels HUGE!]

So, needless to say, I'm in a great mood today!

Now, to link up with Leigh Ashley for Wee Bit Wednesday:

{one} do you watch the history channel? if so, what’s your favorite program?
No, not regularly. Sometimes I'll watch a show that catches my eye every now and again.

{two} what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Stay indoors, particularly in bed if I can help it...and watch Lifetime movies with the roommates for as long as possible!

{three} what does your dream house look like?
I'm not entirely sure...it depends on the climate of where I'm wanting to live at that moment. But I know I want a huge front porch; a big, open family room and kitchen; a great yard with lots of outdoor entertainment space. Right now, I really like the craftsman and coastal homes look.

{four} what state were you born in?
Georgia.

{five} do you have a change jar? if so, what do you use it for when it gets full?
No. I used to have a giant pickle jar but my parents have it now. It was supposed to be our Disney World jar, but we went before it got full!

{six} what’s the first website you look at when you get on the computer?
Facebook usually. Don't judge me.

{seven} what is your favorite breakfast?
Biscuits. Gravy. Bacon. Scrambled Eggs. YUM.

{eight} what’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken?
I went to Jamaica when I was in high school on a mission trip for a week, and I'd love to go back!

{nine} do you prefer your coffee black or with cream/milk/sugar?
The more sugar and flavor, the better. I'm not a fan of the way coffee tastes, but give me some Bailey's French Vanilla creamer and sugar and I'm good to go!

{ten} have you ever done a professional photo shoot?
Do Glamour Shots or senior pictures in high school count?

Last, but not least, I need some suggestions for good summer reading! Now that I'm no longer partaking in higher education, I guess I should still continue to educate myself [plus, I need something to do while my roommates are doing homework for their summer classes! haha.] I just joined Good Reads, but I could still use some help! So, what are your favorite stories of all time??

8 days!

I know I'm on a graduation kick, but after 18 long years of school, it's hard to believe it's finally here!

I showed you my graduation present from my mommy yesterday, but now here's my outfit I finally picked out for graduation! I'm so excited to wear this [mostly the shoes :)]!!

My dress :) from a great little place called Entourage!

And my Steve Madden shoes [style: Staciee in Oyster]!! These are my favorite new babies! Since nude is the new black [or brown? or whatever!], I've been dying over all the pretty shoes in the variations of that color. And yesterday, I found these and fell in LOVE.

Annnd, my half-finished cap for graduation. [I don't know why this picture won't load up and down...it's saved that way on my computer?? I guess you'll just have to turn your computer sideways! :)]

8 more days!!

F is for Finals.

Finals, finals, finals.

That should be a dirty word.

I'm done with two classes and have two more to go, I'm 8 days away from graduation... it seems so close yet so far! Ahh! I have a cumulative spanish final on Friday that's making me super nervous, and then a Law of Mass Communications final at 8am Monday morning [and I have to work 8-5 Saturday and Sunday...not exactly sure when I'm going to study! :/] And then....I'M DONE FOREVER!

I got my graduation present from my mommy today...I'm in LOVE!

Also, I started a tumblr today. I have no idea what I'm doing! Do ya'll have one of these?
